Basic Education Classes

Basic Education Classes

In collaboration with Mexico’s National Institute for Adult Education (INEA) and Mexico’s Public Education Secretariat, CREA provides Latino adults in East Harlem with the opportunity to improve their education in their own language via small, individualized programs. CREA offers classes, educational resources and support for life and work, targeting Mexican adults, Latinos, and native Spanish speakers. An active and inclusive social environment and a student-centered approach help students to share information, ideas, experiences, feelings and break isolation.

Classes are held Wednesdays and Thursdays in two schedules:

Spanish Basic Education (Literacy, Elementary and Lower Secondary) 9 am to 12 pm: Church of the Living Hope 161 East 104th Street NY, NY 10029

Spanish Basic Education (Literacy, Elementary and Lower Secondary) 6 to 8 pm: 212 East 106th Street 3rd. Floor (Settlement Health Clinic)

What people who have worked with us have to say

“Happiness does not consist in possessing but in giving . I feel happy when I see that others are also happy due to my effort”.
